Green Heating Solutions Update
The growing trend for planet-friendly boilers and other heating devices needs to be encouraged, with pioneering firms recommending the installation of renewable and low-carbon energy sources such as biomass boiler models.
Research suggests more needs to be done to encourage the uptake of renewable devices like green boilers and solar water heaters.
Government figures suggest that in 2005 there were about 82,000 UK households adopting microgeneration technologies, out of about 25 million households in total," confirmed Robin Roy, a design professor who leads a research team at the Open University.
He stated that there is a danger the UK will fall behind the rest of Europe if more people do not look towards investing in alternative heating devices.
Consumer expert Which? has emphasised that replacing an old boiler with an energy-efficient condensing model more than pays for itself over the years, while Trianco has informed customers that investing in one of its class-B boilers could give them their money back in under two years through savings in heating bills
