The award winners for the National House-Building council quality award have just been announced and Three Top North East site managers who are all employees of the renowned Miller homes have all been given a national pride in the job excellence title. Paul Richie, 34, from Wallsend, Barrie Dobson, 36 from county Durham and Simon Robson, 45 have all proved that they are among the best site managers in the business because of their top ranking.

Barrie Dobson who looks after Cobblers Hall in Newton Aycliffe will receive the renowned awards in London on 7 January 2011 as he was also awarded the special regional award for large house builder~. He also achieved two seals of excellence awards along with fellow site manager Simon Robson who works on the Heather Lea Green development in Crook.

The three men were assessed very rigorously over a period of 18 months by a panel of independent experts who assessed them over 38 aspects of site management such asworkmanship, leadership, staff welfare, technical expertise, and health and safety they were tested on technical knowledge, reliability in the building process and the quality controls the three candidates were all terrific in all of these categories.

Neil Dickie, Miller Homes North East production manager quoted that “To attain a seal of quality award guarantees you are in the top 400 site managers in the country which is a great achievement,” He is very impressed with the team “they have glistened like stars so vivdly in the competition".

The awards are seen as the best honor in the industry . They reward the pride in which site managers take in their work, the thought that goes into different parts which relate to construction.

The award is an invaluable achievement for each candidate as each customer who considers using them will know they have met exceptional building standards.
