Gateshead Builder: Gateshead council invites bids for £200m housing regeneration
Gateshead Council is inviting bids for a four year contract, worth up to £200 million, to assist it in carry out its Housing Market Renewal Programme.
The scheme is intended to enhance housing market confidence by improving the visual appearance of private properties in the Gateshead area.
The council intends to complete work on around 400 properties a year.
Work to be carried out will include improvements to boundaries, front garden areas, windows, doors, and stonework as well as structural repairs.
Up to six firms will be invited to tender. Pre-qualification questionnaires are due in by 24 November.
