Mike is fantastic I really cant praise him enough. We have had bad experiences with tradesmen in the past. Mike did just about everything in the house - bathroom, kitchen & central heating. He replaced most of the old central heating which was done really badly by a previous plumber. I phoned him and told him a pipe was leaking on a bit of the work done by the previous tradesmen and he came out right away and didnt charge for the work even though it was not his fault because he felt he should have noticed it the first time. Hes very respectful to other peoples property and goes out of his way to help. As part of the new kitchen he was installing we got a new cooker which was faulty and needed to be returned, the replacement came out and it was also faulty the company refused to replace it again and also wouldnt give a refund. Mike got in touch with consumer direct and managed the proceedings and won us a full refund. Mike is very friendly and builds a relationship with his clients keeps you informed at all times of progress. When he first came round to do the kitchen he measured everything up and spent a few hours helping me design the kitchen, afterwards he drove me to the shop to buy the kitchen units all free of charge. Hes totally honest, charges by the hour and told me to keep track of the hours he works without even questioning it, in fact when he came with his final invoice he even knocked money off because I was helping him with things like passing him tools whilst his apprentice was away and didnt expect us to pay right away. He would always arrive at the time he specified, usually at 7am and work right through to 7pm often without even taking a break. I would take food to him as I felt guilty eating in front of him knowing he wasnt taking any breaks. He gave me his mobile number and address and hes available to contact at anytime.
